Community is an essential part of family, of lifestyle, and of real estate.
Understanding local conditions in your choice of neighborhood is important when it comes to buying and selling real estate, but the neighborhood you choose can have a dramatic impact on all other aspects of your life as well. The schools, the amenities, proximity to mass transport or highways, shopping, and the attributes of the neighborhood itself. For example, I live in a community called Common Fence Point, in Portsmouth RI. I am within a 5 minute walk of a private community owned beach, 2 marinas, a golf course, and a small neighborhood general store. Because I love to walk in the mornings or evenings, and because my husband and I love to kayak, these features make this area a wonderful place for us. We are an easy 2 minute ride to Route 24, which can take us to Providence in 20 minutes, Boston in just over an hour, and Newport in about 15 minutes. What more could we ask for?
